Let's Play Don't Spill the Wine!
There are some pointless inventions that, despite their utter pointlessness, are technically astounding or creatively beguiling. The “watering can” decanter is not one of these.
Take a look at the picture opposite and answer me me honestly, “Why?”
This ‘RainMan’ decanter is supposed to provide a curious way to aerate your wine. A number of holes in the “spout” of the glasss are positioned to represent the perforations in a garden watering can.
It’s designed by Swedish designer Matilda Sundén Ringnérs and according to notcot.org it’s a “playful alternative to wine’s traditional journey from bottle to glass”.
Super.
