Pulp Fiction Wine Labels: Bought to you by Some Young Punks

It’s 3am. The phone rings. It’s the D.A’s office. A gruff voice barks “Get down to the parking lot at 59th street, Marlowe needs you”. You roll out of bed, stumble into your car and head downtown. Rain is falling. You pull up alongside the flashing blues. A wine bottle lies empty on a road, its content spilt across the road. A crime has taken place. You light a cigarette, point your camera and try to make sense of another red-stained pavement.

WineOfTheWeek brings you a clear winner of website of the week. These wines by Some Young Punks present a truly original approach to wine labels. Inspired by the pulp fiction of the 20′s through to the 50′s, each label is based on original artwork from the darker, trashier side of crime, sci-fi and erotic fiction.

The flash based website (don’t try viewing this on your new iPad or iPhone) presents a beautifully executed ‘case file’ within which the winemakers present themselves as suspects, the wines as evidence and the blame? Well the blame is for you to find out.

Wines include: Naked on Roller Skates, Passion Has Red Lips, The Squids Fist, Double Love Trouble and Monster, Monsters, ATTACK!.
