My dual passions in life are wine and the web and I’ve been lucky enough to combine both of them in pursuit of a living over the past 5 years as a hired gun for Laithwaites, Virgin, The Wine Society and Tesco.
Wine is an extraordinary creation. In a world dominated by brands and commodities, wine stands out as one of the few products that wilfully sticks two fingers up at the simplicity of labels.
For me, it’s the story of the winemaker that appeals most – the idea of man, land and vine, bottled, best drunk in 10 years time.
This wine blog is another addition to the thousands of others out there and I make no claims for it other than I enjoy writing it!
